# What safe repair changes

Safe repair in CodeSync SI removes debugger statements and renames unused bindings. It does not install packages or rewrite a module.

## The edits

A debugger statement is deleted. An unused binding is renamed so the file no longer declares a name it never reads. Those are the hosted repair and the local repair --apply pass.

An unresolved import is reported and left alone. Creating a guessed file would hide a real mistake. Eval is reported and left alone. Empty files and unreferenced files are reported and left alone.

## How to read the result

Download the zip from the run, or read the Extreme pull request. The diff should be small. If you expected a redesign, this tool is the wrong one for that request. Generate is a separate command and labels template output when the model does not return file JSON.
